Then, I started blogging. It was the accumulation of all of my dreams come true.

For the last two months, I’ve been posting about The Biggest, Baddest Bucket List Costa Rica White Watercontest; after all, no contest exists that is more fitting for Bucket List Publications. Following my dreams of traveling and experiencing life to the fullest has taught me that the world is full of endless possibilities and Bucket List Publications is the accumulation of all of my wildest dreams come true. The Biggest Baddest Bucket List contest, though, is like my bucket list on steroids. With only 9 days left to vote, I’m currently in 1st place for a trip around the world and $50,000! I’m going to win… with your help.  Continue reading

Encouragement from a Teacher in Poland

I received an email message a few days ago from a teacher and I thought I’d respond publicly since I was touched by her words.

Message from Erin:

Hey Lesley!

I just wanted to say your site was a huge inspiration this past week. Lacking ideas for what to teach with some of my teenage students, I decided to have them create bucket lists of their own! We talked about things they wanted to do before they die and at the beginning of class they had nothing, but after showing them one of your bucket lists (I believe from 2012) and showing them all the things you were able to accomplish as well as all the things you still wanted to do, they were super inspired! They all asked 2 questions though 1.) How old you are and 2.) Why Poland wasn’t on your list of countries? ;)

It was awesome and I just wanted to let you know you’ve been an inspiration even here in Poland!

Best wishes,

Erin Continue reading

Some people create a bucket list because they are dying, I created one because I want to live!

Six months, six continents, ALL EXPENSES PAID, my choice of destinations, and MyBBB$50,000 cash when I return. Does it get any better than that?

With 30 days until entries close, I am currently in 2nd place in My Destination’s Biggest, Baddest Bucket List! There is a lot of contest left though and I’d like to remain at the top of the pack going into the next round. I’ve been working hard to maintain my status, gaining interviews with the Cape Breton Post and the Halifax Herald, but I still need your regular votes.

Cape Breton Post ArticleIf you’ve been following along for a while, you know my motto: the more unrealistic I am with my dreams and goals, the more I’m able to achieve. Who would have thought that I would have the opportunity to travel around the world this year? This is my chance.

For those of you that don’t know me as well, you can learn a little bit more about me here.

This contest won’t just change my year, it will change my life. Gaining followers, friends, and support during my travels will bring the world to my doorstep.

I recently added to my video to give a deeper look into my Fiji experience. Check it out here:

Top Ten Tourist Attractions – Bucket List Publications

Top Ten Tourist CollageThe Top 10 World’s Most-Visited Tourist Attractions article was received with skepticism. With more than half of the spots in the US, it was questionable on how the “attractions” were measured. The good part about the list is that it was controversial; I actually liked that it brought a lot of comments and evoked thoughts about what should really be on the list.  After touring 34 countries, I decided that I would make my own “Top Ten Tourist Attractions” list. While I can’t address places I haven’t seen nor can I speak for anyone else, these ten attractions stood out above the rest for me. I’m certain that the list will change with time; it will most likely change in a few weeks after I visit Fiji, but for now… these are my top ten tourist attractions.

You can share your list at http://www.bucketlistpublications.com/submissions. All articles, posts, lists, and photos selected for publication will appear on Bucket List Publications with a direct link to your blog.

Do you think you know what’s on the list? Check it out and see for yourself.

The more unrealistic we are with our dreams and goals, the more we’re able to achieve!

My life list is ever-changing, always growing; that’s why I create a yearly list. My 2012 Bucket List included things like fly a jetpack, swim with whale sharks, experience aerobatics in a biplane, and delivery my baby girl.  With only a few items left, I’ve been thinking about my 2013 list.

Overall, these are the things I’d like to accomplish in my life. I usually choose from these each year and add new ones as I see fit.
