While most people envision a trek through Wadi Rum atop a camel, fearlessly riding
through the desert at high speeds, covering vast distances on the “ship of the desert”, in actuality it can be a lot more difficult than it appears. Wadi Rum… vast, open, and sandy was seemingly endless during our camel riding experience. An ordinary riding camel will normally saunter at about 5 km/hour; perfectly doable, right? But what about when it unexpectedly runs? Could you control it? Could you stay on? Would you know what to do? We were given the opportunity to find out and it wasn’t as joyful as you’d expect. Bring on the Water Sports at Pink Shell Resort
This week has been all about Athena. Splashing in the pool, building sandcastles, strolling
down the beach, meeting other babies, and playing toddler games consumed our days and filled my heart with joy. Today, our last day at Pink Shell Resort, though, I had to test out the water sports. Every day when I walked by the water bikes, the kayaks, the paddle boards, the jet skis, and the Hobie Cats they called my name. We used Darren’s lunch break today to give into temptation and give them a spin. Continue reading
The Sun was Setting
Every second of the day since arriving at Pink Shell Resort in Fort Myers, Florida has been about spending time with Athena, but in the evening, when she’s already in dreamland, Darren and I watch the sunset from the balcony. Each night, it has been completely different yet postcard perfect every time.
Which one is your favorite? 1? 2? 3? 4? or 5? Do you prefer the yellows, blues, or pinks?

See you later today for my experience at The Dead Sea, one of the most spectacular natural and spiritual landscapes in the world!
Beauty Beyond Words – The Kings’ Highway
The Kings’ Highway in Jordan is the world’s oldest continuously used communication
route. It used to link ancient Bashan, Gilad, and Ammon in the north with Moab, Edom, Paran, and Midian in the south. This scenic route winds, drops, twists, and meanders through the heart of the Jordanian highlands, passing through the country’s most spectacular landscapes and some of its most important ancient sites. But words can’t do it it justice. Continue reading
See My Jordan Viewpoint
In the last few days, I hiked all of downtown Amman and the Citadel, Jerash, Evason Ma’In
Hot Springs, Madaba and Mount Nebo, Feynan, and Little Petra and Petra, all while battling a cold and strep throat. We hiked for more than 5 continuous hours yesterday in the desert after sleeping in tents. It has been difficult at times, but here is a preview of some of the views. Do you see why it’s all worthwhile?

Why Should I Have the World?
I recently published a posted called Independently Wealthy, Right? that reflected on how I
got to where I am today and why I think I should win the Biggest Baddest Bucket List contest with My Destination. With several hundred comments and personal emails, I thought a similar post would be the best way to wrap up my entry in the contest and encourage voting one last time. I’m currently in 3rd place with several great entries gaining on me and only two days left to vote. The top five entries with the most votes go on to the next round in London, England to meet the judges. I’m still confident that I can make it… with your help. What will I win? A trip around the world and $50,000 cash! Continue reading

Ultimate Life Bucket List
Some people create a bucket list because they are dying; I created one because I
want to live!
What’s on your bucket list? You can submit your bucket list or your bucket list adventures to Bucket List Publications or info@bucketlistpublications.com for publication. Share your goals and find inspiration in the accomplishments of others.
The more unrealistic we are with our dreams and goals, the more we’re able to achieve!
My life list is ever-changing, always growing; that’s why I create a yearly list. My 2012 Bucket List included things like fly a jetpack, swim with whale sharks, experience aerobatics in a biplane, and delivery my baby girl. My 2013 Bucket List is well under way; I’ve already stayed at Grove Park Inn, experienced NBA All Star 2013, and had a spa day. There are 50 items on this year’s list so I have a fun year ahead. Many of my 2013 items and my life list items could be accomplished by winning the Biggest, Baddest Bucket List contest. Don’t forget to vote as much as possible. You can vote by clicking here.
Overall, these are the things I’d like to accomplish in my life. I usually choose from these each year and add new ones as I see fit.
