Where Are You From? With Just One Little Click… The World!

Do we have the world covered with your vote? I’ve been thinking about the support Destination Wedding Jamaicathat I’ve received in the Biggest, Baddest Bucket List contest and which countries are represented in the 23,424 votes. This is for a trip around the world and $50,000. Your support has been overwhelming and I feel even more capable of accomplishing the impossible. We all can! With only three days left to vote, every second counts… as a matter of fact… STOP. Click here and vote on Facebook with the click of one button or click here to vote on other forms of social media. Ultimate Life Bucket List

Some people create a bucket list because they are dying; I created one because I Collage Travel
want to live!

What’s on your bucket list? You can submit your bucket list or your bucket list adventures to Bucket List Publications or info@bucketlistpublications.com for publication. Share your goals and find inspiration in the accomplishments of others.

The more unrealistic we are with our dreams and goals, the more we’re able to achieve!

My life list is ever-changing, always growing; that’s why I create a yearly list. My 2012 Bucket List included things like fly a jetpack, swim with whale sharks, experience aerobatics in a biplane, and delivery my baby girl.  My 2013 Bucket List is well under way; I’ve already stayed at Grove Park Inn, experienced NBA All Star 2013, and had a spa day. There are 50 items on this year’s list so I have a fun year ahead. Many of my 2013 items and my life list items could be accomplished by winning the Biggest, Baddest Bucket List contest. Don’t forget to vote as much as possible. You can vote by clicking here.

Overall, these are the things I’d like to accomplish in my life. I usually choose from these each year and add new ones as I see fit.

Suggestions from the People that Know Best

Many of you know that I recently entered a contest called the Biggest Baddest Bucket List.Bucket List Contest The prize is unbelievable. It’s an all-expense-paid trip around the world, $10,000 spending money during the trip, and $50,000 cash when you return home. With over 50,000 followers, I thought I’d have over 1000 votes already but it’s a slow start. I’m currently at 525 votes. So, I’m asking you, my readers who know best, what should I do to encourage more voting?

My thought: I put a challenge out there to you. How many people do you think you can convince to vote? Do you think you can get 5? 10? 25? Put your number below and let me know how it goes. Maybe you have a cool technique that you’d like to share.

If you put a number like 25 and you accomplish it, I’d love to interview you for the blog! That is some serious social klout and it would be great to share your techniques with my readers. I’m sure thousands, including me, would love to know your secret. Continue reading

Named Best Trips 2013 – National Geographic

Experiencing new countries, cultures, and adventures has become just as much a part of Fall Colours, Cape Breton, Nova Scotiamy life as family and friends. When National Geographic releases their “Best Trips” publication, I’m inspired to explore the possibilities. They brag, “Got wanderlust? We’ve got your ticket. The National Geographic Traveler editors present the new year’s 20 must-see places”, and I can’t stop dreaming about each picture, description, and location. This year, as I was imagining hopping on a plane and heading to the next place on the list, I saw it! I had no idea it was part of the list. A toothy smile was plastered on my face as I picked up the phone and dialed my mother. “Did you know that you’ve made the Best Trips 2013 – National Geographic list this year mom?” My family hotel, Highland Heights Inn, made the cut. We are part of the Best Trips 2013 – National Geographic!

My 2013 Bucket List Is Just Around the Corner

What a year! 2012 was one of the best years of my life. I gave birth to the most beautiful Adventure Fijibaby girl I’ve ever laid my eyes on; I participated in a series of extreme adventures that sound like made-up events from a super hero movie; I spent time with everyone in my family; I traveled to new and exotic places; and I’ve experienced great success with blogging. My 2013 list is not complete and I’m searching for suggestions. What do you think should make the 2013 list?  Continue reading

Home for the Holidays: Biltmore Estate, Asheville, NC

Darren and I moved to Charlotte, North Carolina to live in a community that feels like Biltmore Estatehome. We want to be surrounded by friends that eventually feel like family in an environment that celebrates values, traditions, and life. We decided on a community in Hunstersville and our house is in the process of being built. This Christmas will be spent in our apartment and as much as we decorate and try to give it a “home” feeling, it is still lacking. The grandeur of a real Christmas tree freshly cut from a field or stockings hung from a mantel that is illuminated by the fireplace flames is not possible just yet. Rather than missing out on the glory of elaborate Christmas decorations this year, we drove to Asheville to experience it all at Biltmore Estate. Continue reading

Sigatoka River Safari: Cultural Connections in Fiji

With luscious rainforests, turquoise waters, an abundance of accommodation options, Fijian Villageand adventures for days, Fiji is an ideal tourist destination. But I can find those exact things in other parts of the world and avoid the long flight and costs. So what is the draw to Fiji? Why is it on everyone’s bucket list? Rich with history and culture, Fiji offers something more and I experienced it first hand today.  During the Sigatoka River Safari, we cruised up the magnificent Sigatoka River to visit an authentic Fijian village and experience a day in the life of the real Fijian. Our driver brought us on a journey to life, the way it is experienced in the village away from cell phones, computers, and “traffic” and I discovered that I would travel around the world a dozen times over to spend a day with the Fijian people.
